Saturday was the day for my first ever slate painting workshop at Castle Park Art Centre in Frodsham. What a lovely and talented group of ladies I had! We had a lovely friendly, positive and productive afternoon painting the most beautiful kingfishers on pieces of upcycled slate. I'm very proud of what everyone achieved and how much effort they put into creating truly unique works of art. 🎨👌🎨

Original Oil Painting Of a Tawny Owl, Wastwater Screes, Cumbria. The background was actually painted plein air from the front porch of YHA Wasdale, and the tawny owl painted in the following morning, due to lack of light! 7.5 by 9.5 inches, on a canvas board. £45 direct from myself, Lynsey Tyson, the artist.
