It is with great sadness that we share the news that our dear friend and artist, Steven Scholes, has passed away.
Steven had been part of the Unicorn Gallery family for more than 40 years, first working alongside my father, Peter Hart, and remaining a valued artist, friend and constant presence throughout the gallery’s history. For me personally, Steven has been part of my entire life and it is difficult to imagine the gallery without him.
His paintings brought joy to so many collectors over the years, and his warmth, humour and generosity made him loved by all who knew him. We feel incredibly fortunate to have shared such a long and special relationship with him.
Our thoughts are with Steven’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Steven leaves behind an extraordinary artistic legacy and a body of work that will continue to be cherished in homes across the country and abroad for many years to come. He will be greatly missed by all of us at the Unicorn Gallery.
