Finding inspiration in nature
One of the loveliest things about what I do is that so much of my inspiration comes from the natural world around me.
In this little piece, I share a glimpse into my creative process, where I find my inspiration, and how the beauty, shapes and rhythms of nature find their way into my work.
It also features a sculpture that I was particularly proud of. A polar bear made from white willow.
There is something very special about working with natural materials, allowing the character of the willow to guide the process and bringing something to life through your hands. For me, it’s about celebrating nature, finding beauty in its simplest forms and creating something that connects us back to the world around us.
