🎲 A library of over 600 board games to play.
🎓 Demonstrations of games, with experienced players on hand to teach the rules.
🕵️‍♀️ The Mad Hatters Mystery interactive theatre and The Betrayers interactive game inspired by BBC’s The Traitors, which you can play on Friday evening (separate booking for The Betrayers required). Invitation 2 Murder
🛍️ Vendors selling a wide range of board games and related wares.
🏺 Actual Roman games with the Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre (The ARC)
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Local groups including the Phoenix Gaming Club, Ready Steady Roll and the Catalyst Labs Demo Team (Battletech).
♻️ A Bring and Buy section where you can buy and sell pre-owned games.
🎁 Playtesting tables with guest indie designers.
🏆 Tournaments and competitions, including Connect 4, Dro Polter and Crockinole.
🐉 Role-playing games, including D&D one-shot campaigns.
🏫 Blood on the Clocktower social gaming sessions.
🍔 Licensed bar and food vendors, including Lucky Chuck's pizza, No 1 Smash and Grab, Lovett Fudge and Sugarbush Bakery.
🧘 Quiet and less crowded rooms for those who prefer a peaceful place to play.

Northants Board Game Convention is organised by Boards of Kettering CIC, a not-for-profit social enterprise. We host monthly pop-up board game events in Kettering and retail board games in Kettering and Northampton.

Families looking for things to do in Northamptonshire this summer are being encouraged to book now for Roman Fest 2026 at The Chester House Estate - one of the county's most popular free heritage events and a highlight of the summer holiday calendar.

Taking place over an action-packed weekend on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, Roman Fest brings together archaeology, living history, family entertainment and hands-on activities in the unique surroundings of Northamptonshire's nationally significant Roman landscape at The Chester House Estate. Brought to you by the archaeological teams from Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre and the Archaeological Services, University of Leicester (ULAS).
