📣📣We are delighted to introduce Kirsten van Schreven joining the Wing Gallery roster this summer. We absolutely love her work and you will too, come and see irl!
Kirsten is a printmaker and draughtsperson and an elected member of the Royal Society of British Artists and has exhibited internationally and won awards for her work.
She regularly exhibits at the Mall Galleries, Bankside Gallery and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. She has been shortlisted for the Jackson’s Art Prize and selected for the Derwent Art Prize, the Wells Art Contemporary and The Discerning Eye.
Kirsten’s work is inspired by isolated, partly built, and abandoned skeletal structures that intertwine the themes of creation and decay, construction and destruction. These individual, man-made edifices possess unconventional purposes — remnants of industries, sources of power, echoes of wars, tools of navigation, and instruments of hunting from a distant, lost era.
