MICHAEL PORTER | 'COAST AND COUNTRY'
A Solo Exhibition of studio works inspired by Cornwall’s coast and paths.

Michael's artworks are drawn from the overlooked but intriguing minutiae of our environment, from a single pebble embedded in the ground, to an autumn leaf drifting across a body of water, to a tangle of twigs and branches against the gathering dusk.

His technical proficiency and his experimental approach to building the image have made him one of the UK’s most respected and high-profile artists, known for combining a form of unfiltered realism with a unique approach to composition and scale.

Michael's exhibition continues until 16th September.

Caroline’s latest collection of work focuses on the harbour as a metaphor for refuge, healing, and return. Inspired by John Ruskin’s The Harbours of England, these monotypes explore these special places as havens from the perilous, unpredictable storms of life, with particular reference to her home of Port Isaac, a place she loves returning to after her travels.

NEW WORK by VIV RICHARDS has arrived this week in the gallery.

Viv's enchanting work is inspired by her appreciation for the beauty of Cornwall's ocean views, far horizons and unique feeling of open sky and space. Her artworks are created from layers of mixed media, collage, paint and an assortment of different materials such as paper pulp, felting wool, wax and straw.

Artist Simeon Stafford is celebrating his 70th birthday year with a solo exhibition here at Whitewater Contemporary Gallery in Polzeath. We would love you to join us at the gallery for the preview of his show, between 5pm and 7.30 pm, when you can view his new collection and meet the artist himself. All welcome!

Simeon's exhibition continues until 28th July. If you are not able to be in Polzeath, please join us for a virtual tour of the exhibition on our website (Exhibitions).
