What a wonderful busy day we had today!
Our newest makers installed their work, and we are loving the fabulous range of texture and genre!

Just three more days before we return from our Christmas break, and open the doors for you once again on Wednesday 10th January …
We are rather excited as we have new displays AND new makers who are joining us, ensuring you’ll always find something unique, beautiful, quirky, authentic - and of course, a warm welcome!

We are thrilled to announce that Linzi Whitting is joining us at The Makers at Craft Renaissance!
A strong connection to narrative runs through Linzi’s work; you may recognise it from h.Art exhibitions.
“I draw inspiration from my love of song writing, poetry, and surface pattern, the re-telling of stories weaving narratives through mixed media book form, moving image song drawings and ceramic sculptures. At the core of these multi mediums is a love of line: drawing, and this can be seen through the expressive surface pattern & sgraffito techniques that resonate across the works, be it in stitch, pencil, print or scratched in line filled with under glaze, these techniques, and the excitement of re-telling stories, is what inspires me and drives me to make and share my skills and work.”
When we reopen on 10th January, you’ll be able to view Linzi’s work , as well as our other new mrmbers’, and the new displays as well.
We know you’re going to love the new display of the stunning stained glass by - Annie has brought in new landscapes and a selection of letters too.

Today we are happy to announce a new member, Sarah Breese Design ( ), who has a range of floral sculpture here, as well as natural decorations. Any ribbon, bells etc are also sourced second-hand.
“…My aim is to channel the intricate beauty of the natural world, using predominantly plants I have grown, foraged or been given.
The natural world around me provides not only the materials for my work but also the inspiration. Working with these plants is an ongoing exercise in relinquishing control, tuning in to natures natural rhythm and appreciating her beauty throughout the seasons, in all her forms.”
Come along this week between Wednesday and Sunday to see her beautiful work.

It is so inspiring to see the new displays and the new pieces of work… there are some particularly festive pieces and greetings cards here this season, including work from today’s steward, Debbie of Hotchi Witchi … I couldn’t resist a print of her new ‘Winter Solstice’!
