The Uffington Museum

The Uffington Museum The museum is open until the end of October, Saturday, Sunday & BH Monday 2pm to 5pm. Out of hours visits can be arranged by contacting the curator.

We will also have stalls at Uffington Farmers Market the 1st Sunday of each month
selling merchandise. Uffington Museum is a small but fascinating village museum with displays explaining the history of the area including the White Horse. Uffington's connections with Thomas Hughes and his famous book Tom Brown's Schooldays, and the poet laureate John Betjeman are also illustrated. We also have a large collection of photographs, many of which are available to visitors.

This talk, by Lauren and Jane Golding, was the companion talk to this year’s exhibition, ‘Myths, Monuments & Memory’, exploring the enduring significance of the prehistoric monuments in the landscape of the Uffington White Horse, and their impact on the relationship between people and place.
