With out the old Militia Camp on Ollerton Road in Tuxford being bought by Walkers many of the firms would not exist today We have been collecting lots of information on Walker and Son which was established in 1954 by Edward Daniel Walker in East Markham Harold Walker bought the camp on 19th November 1960

Dosco Overseas Engineering Ltd gave the museum the idea to celebrate the companies and people of Tuxford on Nottinghamshire day Tuesday 25th August The frienships formed by the company have lasted through the years One of the things they did was sponser Thoresby Welfore Band What joy that must have brought to people involved .Regulars on B.B.C Radio appearing in many parts of the country and were reported as the stars of Sherwood
