John Waterhouse is one of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary landscape artists. His award-winning paintings are instantly recognisable for their atmosphere, emotion and extraordinary use of light.

The walls. The artwork. The finished result.

What they don’t always see is the journey.

The early mornings loading artwork into vans.

The countless exhibitions across the country.

The anticipation of setting up our first shows in places like Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, wondering if we’d sell a single piece.

The weekends standing in muddy fields at country shows with water around our ankles.

The exhibitions at places like Chatsworth House and Syon House in London.

The events held during fuel crises when nobody knew if visitors would even make the journey.

For more than two decades, we’ve learned that success rarely comes from following the crowd.

While others move one way, we’ve often chosen the opposite direction.

Sometimes it’s worked brilliantly.

Sometimes we’ve learned valuable lessons.

But it’s never been boring.

We’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible artists, amazing customers and building friendships that have lasted years.
