They have their gallery in Topcliffe, near Thirsk, where they sell their original paintings, prints and cards. akers, so it's a great place to buy gifts! Liz also designs and makes bags and each one is unique. The gallery is within a listed building - The Old Post House - and is on Front Street in Topcliffe. Dave has been busy framing today. This is "Announcing Autumn" by Liz Clarke. Dave frames all the paintings and prints in the gallery, so if you buy one of our prints, we can frame it for you. This print is A3 size and it's double mounted with a beautiful gold frame. Price £88.

Now that we're officially in Autumn, here's a bag that's perfect for the current season. It's a crossbody shoulder bag and it's made from a pure wool Scottish tweed from the Isle of Bute. The strap and base are made from faux leather and the flap has an appliquéd faux leather leaf with a vintage Celtic brooch in autumn colours. The bag is lined ad has two inside pockets.
Size: 25.5cm W x 29cm H x 10cm D. Price £78.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY

We're not usually open on Mondays, but we will be open tomorrow from 10am to 5.30pm, whatever the weather!

The painting is "Storm tree" by Liz Clarke. We were once driving home from a craft fair and a big storm was approaching. We saw a dead tree in the middle of a cornfield and we screeched to a halt to take some photos! Prints are available from the gallery.

The latest bag in the gallery is made from Harris Tweed, which is still being made in the traditional way today in the Outer Hebrides. The body of the bag is made from a red herringbone tweed. The flap is made from a patterned tweed with lots of lovely colours in it and it has a central panel of herringbone appliquéd on to it. The vintage Celtic brooch completes the look with its central sword and seven different jewels. The strap, under flap and base are made from red faux leather. The bag is lined and has three inside pockets.
Size: 29cm W x 26cm H x 8.5cm D. Price £88.

No doubt you've heard of Attila the Hun? Well this is Attila the Hen, a superb vintage teapot made by Fitz and Floyd in Japan in 1987. The company made things for the American market and this limited edition teapot was part of their "Birdbrains" range. The detail on it is amazing and it would be a real talking point as a display piece, or you could just use it as a teapot! I've taken three different photos of it so that you can see all the details.

Today we had a new delivery from Glover and Smith, who design and make jewellery and other items from English pewter in the town of Salisbury. We also have pewter spoons and trinket boxes.
