**UPDATE at 20:20 on 24 July

Police Scotland has declared a major incident in relation to the ongoing wildfire. All residents of Nethy Bridge are being evacuated to allow emergency services to continue their operational response safely and effectively.

• All evacuated residents should make their way to the MacDonald Aviemore Resort where a Rest Centre has been established for people to register their contact details.

• An evacuation assembly point is in the process of being put in place at Nethy Bridge Community Centre, where Highland Council bus transport will be provided if people need support to get to the Rest Centre at MacDonald Aviemore Resort.

• Access roads into Nethy Bridge have been closed.

• If possible, evacuated residents should try to stay with friends or family in the first instance.

• If any residents are in difficulty, support and advice is available at the Rest Centre.

We know that this will of course be of deep concern to people in the village and surrounding areas. Authorities are prepared, and working together to ensure the safe evacuation of the area. Please follow all advice, and we will update you when we know more.

We are delighted to announce the opening of our Dark Skies 360 Viewing Tower!!!

With panoramic views in all directions day and night the tower is free to use, is open 24/7 and is a great addition to the Trail Centre. A 15 minute walk from the car park, we hope the tower will be enjoyed by bikers, walkers and astronomers alike.

We’re still waiting for interpretive boards but we’re keen to be open for the holidays so why not come along, enjoy the view and grab a coffee and cake in the cafe!

With grateful thanks to the following for their support with this project…

🍰 Let's talk cake! 🍰

A huge thank you to everyone who has come forward to help in the kitchen – we're almost fully staffed!

We're still looking for donations of homemade soups and cakes throughout Tea in the Park.
If you'd like to help, please drop your soup or cake off at Glenlivet Hall at around 10:30am on any day between 2nd and 16th August, along with a full list of ingredients (including any allergens).

Every donation helps us keep Tea in the Park running. Thank you for your support! ❤️
