This is what you’ll discover at The National Waterfront Museum. Our collection forms a tapestry of stories of the pioneers of the coal shafts, the merchant explorers of the sea and the warriors of the foundries and their families. Echoes of their lives, the sweat and toil and innovation, resound around the galleries, along with a sense of the community spirit that burned bright through good times and the dark days of industrial tragedy. We also celebrate modern and contemporary industrial entrepreneurs, inventors and inventions, from microchips to prosthetic limbs, sustainable vehicles to Lego.
