Firsts Hong Kong Rare Bookfair is fast approaching.

It runs from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th December at the HK Maritime Museum at Pier 8, Central

Along with many other great books, photographs, maps and ephemera, we will exhibit the photograph above, taken in 1970 on the streets of Aberdeen. A very large 45cm x 35cm silver gelatin print.

It’s only a week until Chelsea Rare Bookfair opens. Once again we’ll exhibit there and have lots of fabulous new arrival stock which we are sorting and cataloguing.

Picture This will be at Stand 28 in the main room.

In the late 1950’s Graham Greene’s publishers, William Heinemann, commissioned Peter Edwards to create a series of artwork reimagining many of Greene’s iconic works. These were used on the upcoming Library Edition of the Works of Graham Greene, 13 books in total. The books largely disappeared into libraries, were heavily used and have become surprisingly difficult to find today.

We are now offering for sale five of these beautiful dust jackets. They are without the books, but it’s the jackets that are so desirable.

Peter Edwards, British artist, born 1934, died 2017. Painter, illustrator, muralist and writer, born in London and studied at Regent Street Polytechnic, 1950-54. Following National Service, he worked as a freelance illustrator and painter.
