Today is the first day of the collaboration between Herriot Hospice shop in Stokesley and janemercer and. Jo Ackroyd

As part of our REPAIR and REWEAR drive we are mending clothes which have been donated and need repairs. Without out this intervention the clothes would end up being ragged. Ragged means they are sold as scrap.

Starting small today with just 5 items but thinking this could be revolutionary.

Our Second Hand September fashion show is coming back again this year, and we've set the date with the Northern School of Art in Middlesbrough!

Join us as we team up with the talented students at NSOA to bring second-hand fashion to life, and take part in a month of sustainable style with a fashion show finale at the end of September to celebrate 💜

We're also delighted to welcome Charity Shop Girl, Jen Graham, to our Second Hand September Fashion Show. Your ticket includes the chance to meet Jen, hear her story and pick up her expert tips for finding incredible second-hand fashion!

Here’s what’s included on the night:

-A fashion show with all one-of-a-kind items styled by students, available to purchase
-Drinks & canapés on arrival
-Music
-Out of hours superstore shopping opportunities!
-Tips and tricks on how you can style and repurpose second hand clothing
-Rummage raffle & tombola
-Refreshments & tuk shop
-A plastic-free, sustainability-first event
-Disability-accessible

The school summer holidays are nearly here and it’s time to think about sprucing up your tent with some sewn bunting.

My first time ever making bunting with my daughter and granddaughter. My granddaughter’s first time using a sewing machine which at the age of 9 is a great start to her sewing career.

Hopefully a picture of the tent with it beautiful bunting will be available soon. Watch this space. ⛺️
