Built between 1555 and 1587, the main part of the House has 35 major rooms on the ground and first floors. There are more than 80 lesser rooms and numerous halls, corridors, bathrooms and service areas. The lead roof extends to three quarters of an acre, restoration and rebuilding of which began in 1983 and took nearly ten years to complete. Visitor facilities include the Orangery Restaurant, Gift

We don’t know whether we’re coming or going with the weather at the moment, but one thing’s for sure… our plants are LOVING it! 🌦️😍

Bright pink peonies are the showstoppers right now. Vivid purple lavender is beginning to come through as we speak, while foxgloves, delphiniums and lupins are shooting for the sky!

Next up: our wildflower borders will soon be in full bloom. The first of hundreds of ox-eye daisies are beginning to appear, so watch this space over the next week or so! 🌸

Gardens open daily, 10am-5pm. Ticket link in bio.
