Sleaford Museum is excited to be taking part once more in the NK Walking Festival. First walk is on Sunday 14th June at 2pm. Meet at the Museum for the walk with Mark - details below:

‘Walk into town from the East’
Location: Sleaford
Meet: Sleaford Museum, 81 Southgate, Sleaford, NG34 7RQ
Join Mark Bamford on an informative walk through Sleaford. Based upon the work of noted Sleaford historian, Jeanne Furnival, we will start from Sleaford Museum and walk out via the south bank of the River Slea, with a few stops, to East Road/Eastgate picking out the history of the buildings as we go, and then will walk back into town finishing at the Market Place. Walking on good paths but with some road crossing. Dogs welcome. About 4km altogether.

North Kesteven's very own walking festival! A multitude of magnificent marches and wonderful walks. We always need walk leader volunteers.

Sleaford Museum’s very own Mark is leading THREE walks where he will combine history and heritage with stories along the walks:

Sunday 14 June, 2pm Meet at the Museum for ‘Sleaford from the East’

Thurs 18 June, 2pm. Meet at the Museum for ‘Southgate through the years’

Fri 19 June 2pm Meet at west door of St Denys for a walk to and around Sleaford Castle site.
