Beverley Art Gallery recently awarded me 1st Prize in their Open Art 26 exhibition for my painting Matlock Bath Illuminations, so I thought I'd post this video of how it was painted, with many thanks to Beverley Art Gallery for such an honour.

Girl on a Balcony, on show until four

We had extra space in our wonderful new exhibition at the east end (aka rear) of Selby Abbey, starting tomorrow at 10am and going through this weekend. So “Carousel at the Steam Fair”, my largest painting, has a rare outing to the wider world. There are many paintings, prints and cards. Please come.

Another happy client! This is my painting of the open-air concert at Cliveden, for those of you in Buckinghamshire with long memories!

Walking the dogs beside Selby Canal yesterday, there were signs of Gustav Klimt!

With our Selby Abbey exhibition only a couple of weeks away, it’s time for me to decide what to put in. I reckon it’ll be about 12 or 15 paintings, but space is limited so it boils down to what will physically fit. I think all the 12 Days of Christmas ones that haven’t sold, and then…what? Girl on a Balcony has to be there as I promised someone yesterday. What else? Ping me or comment. You can look on https//:www.milkywaygallery.com. It can’t be Matlock Bath Illuminations as that’s already out there in Beverley Art Gallery. x
