Our summer open call is here!
We’re celebrating Scarborough 400 and want artworks about your favourite places, traditions, people in lovely Scarbs!

We want as many Scarborough artists as possible to take part so please share widely 🌊

Details below:
Accepted mediums: painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, photography, film

Submit photographs of artworks to [email protected] by midnight 8th July 2026

Include your name, artwork name and price if for sale. Please send links to video files.

Selected artists notified on 10th July 2026

Deliver work to Mandy Apple Saturday 11th, + Sunday 12th July between 11-4pm

Artists will agree to pay a £5 exhibition fee on delivery, which helps support the work we do at Mandy Apple.

Exhibition Opening Event 16th July 5-7pm

We regret that we cannot accept submissions by post on this occasion.

Join us for a long weekend of screen printing, zine making and celebrating diy printmaking!

Screen-printing
Bring us a t-shirt to upcycle it and give it a brand new lease of life by screenprinting it right in front of your very eyes! We’ve got two designs to pick from (our Mandy Apple logo, or a mishmash of our doodles) to be printed in either black or white ink. Prints cost £5. If you don’t have a blank piece of clothing to upcycle, pick from our rail of blank items (£5 each, whilst stocks last)

Zine making & the zine library
It wouldn’t be a zine library event without a zine making workshop! We’ll have everything you need to make your very own zines- all ages and abilities encouraged! We’ll also have our portable library for your to peruse for inspiration.

Prints for sale
The Shakespeare Bar will serve as our pop up print shop for banners, notebooks, badges, cards and all manner of printed goods from local artists, including work from York based Nic Fife and Scarborough artist Hannah Grahamslaw.

The Shakespeare is opposite the Market Hall on St. Helen’s Square. We’ll be open 11am-3pm, 5th-7th June. See you there!
