Our family-friendly museum explores the archaeology, natural history and social history of north-west Essex and the wider world. With a packed programme of special exhibitions, events and activities throughout the year, as well as nine permanent galleries, there's always something to see and do! Set in quiet grounds next to the ruins of the twelfth-century Walden Castle, just minutes away from the

Running on Friday mornings in July, you can book with us for a guided tour of our fantastic museum collections.

£10 per person including free parking at the Museum.

Tickets must be pre-booked and are on sale now at Saffron Walden Tourist Information Centre
