Looking for something a little different when you visit Ross-on-Wye?

Take a trip upstairs in the beautiful historic Market House and discover Made in Ross, a gallery and gift shop filled with artwork and gifts created locally by our talented artists and makers.

From ceramics and jewellery to paintings, prints, textiles, woodcraft, fused glass and lots of colourful and unusual gifts, there’s plenty to browse, whether you’re looking for a special present, a souvenir of Ross-on-Wye or something lovely for your own home.

The Market House itself is well worth a visit. Take a moment to admire this magnificent historic building and, while you’re upstairs, don’t forget to look out through the huge oak doors onto the balcony above the Market Place for a fabulous view of the town.

And very soon, we’ll be taking part in Herefordshire Art Week. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far and sharing even more of the creativity that goes on behind the scenes at Made in Ross, with live demonstrations and workshops taking place during the event.

So, if you’re visiting Ross-on-Wye, make sure you come upstairs and see what we’re all about.

Discover Made in Ross – a gallery and gift shop celebrating the creativity of talented local artists and makers.

Housed upstairs in the beautiful historic Market House in the heart of Ross-on-Wye, we have a wonderful variety of locally created art, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, prints, woodcraft, glass and plenty of lovely gifts to choose from.

The Market House itself is well worth a visit. Take time to admire this remarkable historic building and don't forget to look out through the magnificent oak doors onto the balcony above the Market Place, where you'll find a fabulous view of the town.

And there's more to look forward to...

Made in Ross will be taking part in Herefordshire Art Week, welcoming visitors from near and far to discover the incredible creativity happening across our county. We'll be hosting live demonstrations and workshops, giving visitors the opportunity to see artists and makers at work and perhaps have a go themselves.

Whether you're a local, visiting Ross-on-Wye for the day, or travelling from further afield, come upstairs and discover Made in Ross.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Made in Ross Art Quest!

We hope you enjoyed solving the clues, exploring Ross-on-Wye and perhaps discovering a few places you hadn't noticed before. It has been wonderful to see so many people getting involved and looking at our town from a different perspective.

If the Art Quest has inspired you to explore more of Ross-on-Wye, why not come and visit us at Made in Ross?

Ross is a beautiful traditional market town, full of interesting architecture, historic buildings and fascinating little corners to discover. At the heart of the town stands the magnificent Market House, built between 1650 and 1654. This beautiful red sandstone building is one of only four surviving historic market halls in Herefordshire.

Come inside and take a look upstairs, where you'll find Made in Ross, our gallery and gift shop showcasing the work of 14 local artists and makers. You'll find everything from ceramics, jewellery and textiles to paintings, prints, woodcraft, glass and lots of lovely gifts.

And don't forget to look out through the magnificent oak doors onto the balcony above the Market Place. It's a wonderful place to pause and take in the character of this historic town.

So, whether you took part in the Art Quest or are discovering Ross-on-Wye for the first time, make a day of it. Explore the streets, admire the architecture, visit the independent shops and cafés, and come upstairs to see us at Made in Ross.

THE MADE IN ROSS ART QUEST 2026 – DAY 3

The clues are getting harder… or perhaps we’re just getting better at spotting the secrets hidden around Ross-on-Wye!

Today is Day 3 of the Made in Ross Art Quest, and there’s another new pair of cryptic clues waiting to be solved.

Remember, each day brings two clues:
One leads you to a location.
The other leads you to an answer.

You can tackle the clues at your own pace, work together with friends or family, and explore Ross-on-Wye as you go. You never know what you might discover along the way.

And there’s still plenty of time to join in. New clues are released daily until 16 August, and completed entries need to be submitted by 4pm on 20 August.

Entry is completely FREE, with prizes for the highest scorers.

Forms are available online and upstairs at Made in Ross in the Market House.

So, if you haven’t started yet, today is a great day to join the hunt!
