This year, Stewartby is celebrating its centenary! πŸ’«

If you're from Stewartby, or know someone from the village, or are simply interested in history, then we have the book for you! 'Stewartby Remembered' by local author Joy Cooper is a heartfelt record of life in the Bedfordshire village of Stewartby, shaped for decades by the London Brick Company.

This fascinating book draws on personal memories, historical records and conversations with residents to capture the everyday life, places and people that made Stewartby what it was.

'Stewartby Remembered' is a perfect way to preserve the story of the brickworks and the generations who built their lives around it.

Available at Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre. Don’t miss out! We're open Wednesday to Saturday, from 11am to 4pm.

Next Wednesday is our award-winning Rails to Roots gardening group 🌱

You're most welcome to pop by and help create and tend our garden! You can access this project easily from stations along the Marston Vale train line - from Bletchley to Bedford.

Gardening tasks may include: tree planting, seed sowing, planting out, building raised beds, weeding, pruning and maintaining plants.

The group is a chance to meet new people, learn how to grow food and help to create a beautiful garden. Gloves, tools and refreshments are provided - please wear clothes and shoes to keep you warm comfortable and dry.

Celebrate 180 Years of the Marston Vale Line! πŸš†πŸŽ‰

We’re delighted to share that a special 180th anniversary display celebrating the Marston Vale Line is now on show at the Bedford Visitor Information Centre.

Put together by our amazing Friends of Ridgmont Station volunteers, the display explores key moments in the line’s rich history - with photos, stories and memories from across the decades.
