We took a big step forwards today with Prince Edward of Wales's boiler passing its hydraulic test under the watchfull eyes of our boiler inspector. At the same time Joan, Billie, Railway Queen, and the Cagney passed their cold exams. This is a very fitting day for these locos as it is also 150 years ago today that Henry Greenly was born. He was the great engineer who designed Prince Edward of Wales and then went on to design our bigger locos to replace them. Now its all fingers crossed for them to pass the hot exam later this month ready for our first little locos day on the 28th June and then again on the following sunday July 5th.

Clara sitting in the station between trains. We are open till 4pm today, tomorrow and sunday with it being steam on sunday, with Michael pulling the trains. Its £4 adults and £3 children with under 2s travelling free.

We stock all you need to go crabbing in the lake inc bait. Please remember to be kind and gently release the crabs back into the lake when you have finished and please put all rubbish in the bin. You can also buy a memento of how you did, either a Rhyl crab or an I stole your bait seagull.

Looks like its going to be another very hot day, so remember to drink lots of water. We are open from 1030 till 4pm with shockingly our open coaches out today. Its just £4 adults and £3 children cash or cards and no prebooking just turn up and buy tickets.

A busy day at the railway today with lots of full trains. While the trains were running there was still lots of other jobs going on inc us cutting up more firewood. Two more days of steam then our diesel Clara takes over on tues till saturday then it will be Michael on sunday 31st.
