Yes, it’s true, the MEx is officially closing its doors for good at the end of this month (January 2026). We are attempting to be open as much as possible between now and then for artists to be able to collect their work. There will also be a ‘garage’ sale in the building on the very last day - Saturday, 31st Jan - where anything left (including furniture) will be available at bargain prices for CASH ONLY. Please don’t miss this opportunity to say farewell in person! 🌈
I think everyone (whom has been touched by the magic of the Mining Exchange Studios over the years) wholeheartedly agree it has been a beautiful, life-enhancing and inspirational space. The compassion, heart and creative vision of .arts, combined with all the creativity and commitment of many other wonderful souls involved, has made the MEx a place to remember forever!
