Today is the anniversary of Henry Tudor’s victory at the Battle of Bosworth.

We have the tent up ready at the childhood home of Henry, Raglan Castle, which is flying the Welsh flag on this beautiful morning, as usual. The Welsh Flag, of course, having more than a passing likeness to the royal standard of Henry VII.

The living history event is on Sunday and Monday here, as usual. For a less costumed and more random chat with us about archery and medieval shizzle we are about today and tomorrow as people arrive and set up.

We are nestled in the trees this year (and it’s our wedding anniversary!)

I’m looking to book some talks/book promotions for 2026.

Anyone any ideas?

Medieval history (3rd crusade to War of the Roses), family history or local history (Coventry, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Lancashire, Wychwood Forest, Wales)

My book is due for release in November

I can do it with costumed assistance (from November) or not! (He’s bought a helm but I’ve got some sewing to do…)
