Do you remember the local independent radio station Radio 210? This publicity promotional flyer is for presenter Trevor Small who hosted the 'Afro Caribbean Eye' show.

Trevor Small, a member of the Windrush Generation in Reading came to join his parents in Reading from Barbados in the late 1960s. After his education he became a sales executive for Radio 210 and in the 1980s he hosted a weekly radio programme sharing Caribbean music.

Radio 210 was rebranded as part of the Heart network in 2009.

''This feels like a full circle moment as [Reading Museum] was the first company we sold kits to back in 1993! Kate who founded the company lived locally at the time and popped in with some of her creative embroidery style kits based on the Bayeux Tapestry and [Reading Museum] placed the first order for them and Bothy Threads started as a business. We often give thanks to the Reading Museum when telling this story.''

When we approached Bothy Threads about stocking some of their Bayeux embroidery kits, we had no idea we had been their first customer all those years ago!
