I have spent a day looking at this mesmerising, if not utterly magical, painting by Bérénice Mayaux. My phone camera is not at the technological level I'm afraid, it can't fully grasp the tones, nuances, depth, graduations of the colours, and even less the lust, skin and essence of this painting; the harmony of chaos, the fluidity and heat, the immateriality, the arrested speed, the circularity; looking at it is both a fulfilling and an appeasing experience. Artist relaxing on a sofa in the Normandy morning sun on the lower right of the image.

COMMON GROUND, an exhibition featuring sixteen artists in Folkestone Old High Street.

Amazing private view yesterday for Common Ground. We were having too much of a good time to think of taking photos of all our friends enjoying themselves.
