What a great day we had on Saturday at our Highland Hospice fundraiser. Sadly it was so busy we didn't get a chance to take any photos! Such a lovely atmosphere and we raised an amazing £1,446.30. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our fundraising. Special thanks to our helpers on the day, Neil, Jean Alison, Ian, Lesley and Hanneka - we couldn't have coped without you. ❤️ Thank you to all the folks who had tables. Thanks to Clare, Pete & Lesley for donating baking, thanks to Catherine and Kate for the plants, Cath and Joan for the beautiful hats and the lady who brought in the tablet. Annie for her help setting up, Chris for running around collecting stuff and generally lifting and carrying duties. Thanks to the Poolewe Village Hall committee for their support. Finally thanks to everyone who donated items for us to sell and items for the raffle. You are all amazing and make such a difference. 🌻
Our next big fundraising event will be at the Poolewe Christmas Market on the 28th of November, but Connie will be on her stall at the Poolewe Tuesday Markets until the end of October too and we've just taken delivery of the Highland Hospice Christmas cards so make sure you get those from the Button Bothy.
Love Connie, Alison & Laura ♥️♥️♥️

Ooops, it's been a while since we said hello! We may have not been on facebook, but we have been busy fundraising for the Highland Hospice at the Poolewe Tuesday Market and wanted to let you know about another event we have coming up - our table top sale/indoor car boot/collectable & curios sale/jumble sale call it what you may! We will be hosting a sale at the Poolewe Village Hall on the 22nd of August. Along with a stall of items being sold for the hospice and we are inviting others to have stalls, so if you've been meaning to have a clear out now's your chance! We will also happily accept donations of items for our stall if you want rid of some stuff, but don't want to have a stall yourself. Connie and her team will be running a cafe at the sale with hot drinks, bacon rolls, soup, scones and cakes, so you won't want to miss that and the opportunity to find some treasures on the stalls! If you are interested in a stall yourself, send us a message or contact Alison on 07900602765 / [email protected]
So back to what we have already done this year - we have banked a fabulous £3292 for the Highland Hopsice. This money was raised mainly on Connie's stall at the market, but also from Connie's jam sales at Poolewe Village Store & Post Office. Big thanks to Clare & John at the shop for their support and also to Pete for his donations of Marmalade and fruit, Anton at Krockewe Arts & Crafts Shop for items he made for us to sell, young Sophie for the donations she has made from selling her handmade bracelets, Stephen for making bacon rolls for the stallholders and donating the profits, Carol for her help on the stall and the many others to help us with our fundraising efforts!
We do hope you can come support us on the 22nd of August.
Thank you all
