Did you guess our latest round of Plymouth I-Spy?
Well done to many of you for playing along and knowing that this sculpture is outside of Drakes Circus. This large scale sculpture was created by artist Lucy Glendinning for Drakes Circus and responds to its architectural surroundings of steel and glass and is designed to look as if it is coming out of the corner of the building. The figure is balanced on top ‘riding a wave’ in reference to Plymouth’s nautical history, its relationship to the sea and the act of defying gravity. Riding a Wave is a lacquered aluminium figure upon a polished 306 stainless steel base.
Watch out for our next round of I-Spy.

Did you guess our latest round of Plymouth I-Spy?
Well done to many of you for playing along and knowing that this anchor is located at on Armada Way at the intersection of Notte Street and Windsor Place. The anchor is from the 4th Ark Royal (R09) which was an audacious-class aircraft carrier and was decommissioned in 1979. The anchor from HMS Ark Royal was presented to the City of Plymouth by the Admiral of the Fleet Lord Hill Norton on behalf of the Admiralty Board on 24th April 1980.
Watch out for our next round of I-Spy.
