We're so excited about tomorrow's (Wednesday's) concert in the courtyard at Beck Isle Museum, Pickering - it's going to an absolutely beautiful evening, our traditional pub will be open and we'll be entertained by the very brilliant A Touch of Blues!

A big thanks if you came to join us on Saturday! We had a truly special craft day, themed around the summer solstice. Can you tell how much we enjoyed ourselves?

TOMORROW! Don't forget, it's our very special Midsummer Craft Day on Saturday 20 June - and part of celebrations of the solstice across town and Ryedale. We'll have crafting demonstrations across the museum from 10.30am until 3pm.

🎶Join us next Wednesday evening for another of our fabulous Courtyard Concerts at the museum when we'll be welcoming A Touch of Blues

Can you help us spread the word? We're getting very excited about a special event happening THIS WEEKEND in Pickering!

As part of a series of celebrations for Midsummer, we'll be running a very special craft day on Saturday - with a Midsummer twist! We love our wonderful crafters - they're such an industrious lot! - so thought we'd share a selection of pics from previous days!

We know many of our visitors absolutely love our craft days, where you can chat to crafters across the museum and learn more about the wonderful, traditional skills being kept alive today. There'll be beading, corn-dolly making, growing and planting, and skep making. All included in your museum entry or upon production of a valid receipt from the last 12 months.

We are so excited about the brilliant Pickering Midsummer Festival happening across Pickering and Ryedale this month. If you're visiting our lovely market town, be sure to call in to see us on Saturday 20 June.

We'll be skep making, mustard-cress growing, wool spinning, corn-dolly making, and hurdie-gurdie playing, and lots more...

You can buy a joint entry ticket to get you into the museum too (£12 for adults, £5 for children), or a guided walk ticket (£6 for adults, £3 for children) - all available in our museum reception.

Our guided walks are a brilliant way to discover more of the stories of our wonderful market town - whether you're a local or a visitor.
