How to find us 📍

We're delighted to be included as a featured attraction on Discover Peterborough's new interactive map!

🏠 Located in the village of Helpston, we are just a short twenty minute drive between Peterborough and the historic town of Stamford.

🚍 The Delaine 201 bus service runs hourly, Monday-Saturday, from both Peterborough and Stamford bus stations, and stops at the Helpston Cross just a minute away from Clare Cottage.

🚲 We are also located on the National Cycle Route 63 and the Peterborough Green Wheel cycle route, and have cycle parking facilities.

Come and retreat into nature at Clare Cottage, and discover the legacy of poet and early environmentalist, John Clare 🌿

Improve your sketching and grow your creativity! 🌱

We're delighted to welcome Stamford watercolour artist Karen Neale back to Clare Cottage for another relaxed and inspiring sketching workshop this September.

Anyone, at any level, wanting to draw from life is invited. All you'll need to bring is a sketchbook, pencils - and some watercolours if you'd like.
