Postcard of the Day: The parade ground, Queen's Barracks, Perth. The image was registered in 1939. The barracks were first established as a home for cavalry regiments in 1793. It became the home to the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen's Bays), hence the name Queen's Barracks.
