🖤 BLACK HISTORY MONTH UK 2026 | HONOURING OUR COMMUNITIES 🖤

This Black History Month, we’re celebrating something at the heart of everything we do at Black Voices Cornwall: Our communities 🤩

Black history isn’t only found in archives, textbooks or moments from the past.

It is being made every day by the people who build businesses, create art, support one another, raise families, lead organisations, volunteer, campaign, teach, inspire, organise and make space for others. 🙏🏾

❤️It is in our elders and our young people.
💛In our community leaders and quiet contributors.
💚In our organisations, businesses, artists, families and friendships.

🏴 And it is here in Cornwall.

This month, we’re Honouring Our Communities: Recognising the people, stories, contributions and connections that make Black Cornwall what it is.

Because our communities are not simply part of Cornwall’s story.

💪🏾 We are helping to shape it.

Throughout October, we’ll be celebrating some of the people and organisations who make our communities stronger, richer and more connected.

And we want to hear from you too.

Who would you like to honour this Black History Month?

Tag them below. ❤️
