I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t aware and being influenced by this woman. She has shaped so many of my decisions, my beliefs, my actions. She gave me so much hope for a more equal world. So much humility, grace, steadfastness. It’s really hard not to feel sad and a little bit lost today 😞

ABSTRACT ART FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS

2 1/2 hour workshop at The Nook Studio, Weston Lane, Oswestry SY11 2BQ

A few spaces left on 16th September and 24th September: 10am to 12.30pm and 6.00pm to 8.30pm. A small group of 4, in my new studio space. With drinks and snacks included, all materials, lots of fun, no expectations - just curiosity and play.

This is the start of a new series based on a recent trip to Alaska. I’m fascinated with glaciers and this one in particular, held my gaze for a looooong time. It’s the Margerie Glacier and it did not disappoint. I have lots of inspiration, feelings I can recall as well as the visual references from my sketch book and photos. I always love this part of the process. Stay tuned. I’ll be prepping my HUGE canvas next.
