A familiar story often first read in school, Under the Hawthorn Tree explores the Great Famine through the eyes of three young siblings. Our family‑friendly exhibition brings the children’s novel to life using objects, sounds, smells, interactives and beautiful illustrations.

Good news! The roadworks on the main road to the Ulster American Folk Park this week will be finished by Saturday 29th August, and therefore, there should be no delays or issues accessing the Folk Park for the Live from the Folk Park concert.

Mary Anne McCracken gave out handbills at the Dockside Gallery as she once did at the Belfast docks, and we delved into the stories of how Ulster and the slave trade were entwined.
