Lisa Miller Fine Art Original paintings and prints https://www.thepaintedhorse.co.uk I have been painting equestrian subjects, mostly with a horse-racing theme, for over 30 years.

A full member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, and winner of the prestigious 'Best in Show' in 2014. I initially trained as a wildlife artist/illustrator in the 1980's and have always been a keen birdwatcher. Although I have painted a handful of wildlife subjects over the years I have plans to pursue this subject in earnest, along with new landscapes and portraits. I will, however, still be available for equestrian commissions.

A with a difference today. I snapped this little ceramic horse at Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery a couple of years ago. It's a Chinese grave ornament, dating from the Tang dynasty (618–907 AD). There were a few more in the cabinet and I wish I'd taken more pictures, but I really loved this little guy!

One would have thought such a significant win would have at the very least been a footnote on the national news, especially as racing is one of those rare sports where men and women compete on a level playing field...but I guess not.

Eve Johnson Houghton says she is "horrified" at the lack of national media coverage of Saffie Osbourne's historic St Leger win 📰
