Event Date Mismatch!
Our adverts published in the Norfolk & Suffolk Tourist Attractions (NSTA) Brochure 2022 and the Britain at War Magazine are incorrect.
They state the date for our Falklands event is the 30th May. This is NOT the date of our Falklands 40th event and as such, the 30th will be normal opening only.
The City of Norwich Aviation Museum’s Falklands 40th Event will be held on Sunday, the 22nd May 2022, 10:00 - 17:00.
In addition, our Father Christmas Lands at CNAM Event Date is also incorrect. This should be Sunday, 11th December 2022.
We apologise for any inconvenience and hope to see you on the 22nd and 11th respectively!

Here’s another one of our civilian airliners based at CNAM; our Avro RJ-85, E2351 (formerly EI-RJN).
Leaving the factory in 1999, 351’ is rather young in comparison to our F27 and Herald but is yet another fine example of British aviation history!
The aircraft arrived at the museum in 2020 after being placed into storage in 2019 whilst still under CityJet Ownership. The aircraft was then donated to the museum in 2020 and at the time, was the only RJ85 on display in the UK.
E2351 took quite a rather unusual route into the museum and enjoyed two final flights prior to touching down on the museums site.
If you’d like a look inside, speak to our volunteers who are always on hand.
Please help us to further educate and preserve Norfolk’s Aviation Heritage by increasing our footprint and donating via our Just Giving page!
You can donate in person or via cheque by sending them to; Treasurer, City of Norwich Aviation Museum, Old Norwich Road, Horsham St Faith, NR10 3JF Please include a note inside to state the donation is for the main building expansion and why you are supporting our cause!

To continue with the Civil Aviation Theme here’s another one of our favorite civilian airliners; our Fokker F-27-200 ‘Friendship’. along with our Herald G-ASKK, 'MY also turns 60 this year!
The aircraft arrived at the museum in 2000 after being placed into storage in 1998 whilst still under Air UK / KLM UK Ownership. The aircraft was then donated to the museum in 2010 and is the only fully complete Fokker F27 on display in the UK.
If you’d like a look inside, it may be possible if you speak to our volunteers who are usually on hand. There is a small supplementary charge for aircraft interior tours when available.

Our new exhibit arrived last night and we couldn’t be happier!
Can you tell what it is?
We’d like to thank Mr.Ward for choosing the City of Norwich Aviation Museum to display such a fine exhibit!
Open today 10 - 4pm
Continuing with the Herald theme and our current campaign to raise funds, here are some interior pictures of G-ASKK - the longest preserved Herald in a museum.
Leaving the factory in 1962 and arriving at the museum in 1985, G-ASKK turns 60 this year!
Its final flight was from Southampton to Norwich under Air UK ownership before being donated later in the year to CNAM. Most of her internal aspects haven’t been changed and only preservation carried out; ensuring it looks as good as the day it last landed!
If you’d like a look inside, speak to our volunteers who are always on hand to offer assistance.
We’ve been completely overwhelmed with the amount of support received so far (not just monetary but feedback too!) and the great comments about the museum!
It’s great to see the memories so many people have of the local area and its aviation heritage as a whole.

We posted this a few days ago and would like to thank everyone for there kind donations, shares and comments so far!
It would be great if you could consider to do so and we’ll get some images of G-ASKK’s interior later in the week.
Even if you can’t spare masses, £1 from every single person on our page would go a long way!

Today we launch our fundraising campaign to create a new display area to showcase the vast history of Civilian Aviation in East Anglia and expand the museums footprint overall.
The City of Norwich Aviation Museum has been home to several civilian airliners and smaller general aviation aircraft since its establishment in 1977.
These airliners include the Handley Page Herald 211 (G-ASKK) – the longest Herald preserved in any museum, the Fokker F-27 (G-BHMY) and more recently it’s Avro RJ85 Aircraft E2351 (formerly EI-RJN).
The museum also houses several smaller aircraft such as the Piper Aztec (G-AYMO), Evans VP-2 (G-BTAZ), Socata Rallye (G-ASAT), Cessna 401 (G-OVNE) and Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche (N30NW).
The museum’s Herald, F27 and RJ are all capable of powering up some systems which is thanks to the hard work our Volunteers past and present have dedicated to their local museum.
East Anglia has a wide range of Civilian Aviation History with Norwich Airport home to Peters Aviation, Air Anglia, Air UK and KLM UK which the museum hopes to showcase in this dedicated space.
Please visit our Just Giving page to find out more, donate or setup your own campaign to raise funds towards our cause!

N30NW is a 1984 PA-30 Twin Comanche. It was donated to the museum in late 2021 after a prolonged period of storage. The engines and instrumentation have been removed and sold to reclaim some of the costs of this storage and the airframe itself has been donated to the museum, free of charge.
The idea is to utilise the aircraft as an educational exhibit once the internal aspects are made more presentable. The aircraft itself was dissembled at Old Buckenham by Touchdown Aviation and one our volunteers, Henry Palmann organised all aspects of its transport, assembly and donation.
Air Anglia did have a short spell operating the PA-30 Twin Comanche.
Our thanks to all volunteers whom helped with the move and assembly of the airframe and of course Touchdown Engineering, Old Buckenham Airfield and Mike Newman Haulage.
Future plans include finding unserviceable engines and propellers.
