Coming up at OUTPOST:

Sounding the Line

Opens Saturday 5th September

By tracing herring, whose migration routes remain free of any notion of national frontiers or allegiances, Eggers aims to trouble the concept of maritime borders. Studying how marine life is impacted by geopolitical divisions, Sounding The Line views borders from three perspectives: small-scale fishing communities, the fishing industry, and schools of herring.

Join us on Saturday 1st August at 6pm for panel talk: Making Labour. Celebrating the opening of Maija Fox’s exhibition ‘As the sap rises’, this event is free and open to all.

Our panelists will be exploring making as a shared social practice and the conditions in which this is made possible. Drawing on experiences of metalwork, ecology, collective organising and feminist practice.
