A set of photos from David Taylor, who was part of the Anglia Television team that came to the 1967 airshow, to provide a live broadcast of the show to the region. His article in his page Postfade, gives an in-depth appreciation of how they made it happen. Although I do not think modern day Health & Safety would have been keen on the arrangement for getting to the top of the tower.

After last weekend when the aircraft was removed from the plinth and had the external stores removed, the team had a problem removing the wings. Having worked at the problem during the week, they were successfully removed on Saturday, ready for being transported back to Coltishall.

A successful day yesterday for the team, removing the Jaguar from the plinth outside Norwich County Hall, where it had been positioned for nearly 20 years. The following words and photos, come from the Heritage Centre chairman Carl Lamb.

The ‘Spirit of Coltishall’ is on the move!
The Jaguar is moving from Norfolk County Council to RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre, where our team will carry out repairs on the Council’s behalf.
These photographs capture the careful lifting preparations—a substantial task requiring planning, teamwork and specialist support.
We’re pleased to put our volunteers’ skills to work caring for an aircraft so closely associated with Coltishall’s history.
Thank you to Norfolk County Council for entrusting us with this work, and to everyone helping make the move possible. We’ll share updates as repairs progress!

Move from County Hall to Coltishall for refurbishment.

After the first few years of 145 Sqns arrival at Coltishall, the RAF went away from the more colourful schemes, so the tail and spine were returned back to the natural metal scheme.
