Potfest in the Park 2026! What a brilliant show. I loved every second. This was my stand at the beginning - I usually post a photo but I had rubbish reception in the evenings and the days were too busy! (Nice problem to have!)

Thank you to my lovely neighbours Jennie Gilbert for the constant supply of mini eggs and pistachios šŸ˜†david lawson for life support in caffeinated form & jennifer hall for endless entertainment šŸ¤— brilliant neighbours kept me laughing and smiling throughout šŸ™

Huge thanks to the whole Potfest team and Alex for the Friday feast, and the wonderful Sausage Club for Saturdayā€™s Epic Pizza Nightā€¦and Simon Griffiths bird & animal for the unexpected extra buns šŸ˜‰šŸ¤—

Well if Carlsberg made Potfest weekendsā€¦! šŸ„¹ā™„ļø

Iā€™m just home from the most fantastic Potfest in the Park. Thank you to everyone who came to my stand, stopped for a chat, shared a smile, or took a little piece of my work home. Iā€™m incredibly grateful.

This was my entry for this yearā€™s Potfest competition, The Penguinā€™s Top 100 Must Read Books. I chose The Secret Garden, and I was completely amazed and absolutely thrilled to win the German Prize, the Pottersā€™ Prize, and the Potfest Prize! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for my piece. It really does mean the world.

A special thank you to Matt and the whole Potfest team for awarding me the Potfest Prize, which means Iā€™ll be returning to Potfest in the Park next year. I honestly couldnā€™t be happier.

Iā€™ve included a few photos of the making process. It all began with a cardboard mock-up to test the idea, and there were definitely a few disasters, tears, and moments when I nearly abandoned it altogetherā€¦ which makes this ending feel even more special.

Iā€™ve been a little quiet on here recently but itā€™s because Iā€™m working very hard behind the scenes for what is going to be a very busy year ahead! Iā€™ve just finished carving these new Hidden Place vessels and (all being well!!) they will be coming with me to .co.uk Compton Verney later this month. Iā€™m excited to return to this show as itā€™s such a brilliant event in the most beautiful setting šŸ˜

Do your kilns have names? I have wonderful big Rhonda the Rhode Ecotop, little Betty, my original little Fireluxe workhorse, and new to the scene ā€¦.[after my old barrel kiln Olive (Olive oilā€¦geddit? šŸ˜‚) ā€¦went into retirement after becoming a mouse house - donā€™t ask! ]ā€¦.. is Greta my beautiful new fiesty little madam Raku Kiln šŸ„°
