Meet the Maker | Rosie Phillips

One of our Summer artists, Rosie Phillips, shares more about her approach to making and how she explores new ideas within her practice.

Her oil paintings place familiar figures within distorted, somewhat liminal environments, exploring relationships between people and animals and the dynamics of domestic life.

Our two floors are home to a considered collection of handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces from local and nationally recognised makers and artists. Thoughtfully gathered to be discovered slowly and enjoyed often, each object carries the character of its maker and the beauty of small-batch craftsmanship.

With over 200 collections of paintings, prints, sculpture, furniture, homewares and jewellery – many not featured online – we invite you to visit for the full experience.

You're Invited | Autumn Preview

This September join us at our Autumn Preview to welcome in the new collections coming to the Gallery is this next season.

We'll be celebrating the launch of our autumn headline exhibition, Source Material byShirley Vauvelle alongside Lino North, a new contemporary printmaking exhibition with over 100 prints from 16 printmakers. Meet some of the artists including Laura Boswell, Deb Wing, Rosanna Reade, Masha Tiplady, Babs Pease, Graham Firth and Linda Farquharson.

Introducing Lino North | 11 September - 29 November

This Autumn, Lino North, a landmark exhibition of linocut printmaking launches at The Biscuit Factory.

Lino North brings together sixteen printmakers specialising in linocut, working across the North of England, Wales and Scotland highlighting the continuing strength and diversity of contemporary printmaking, with a focus on the physical processes of carving, inking and printing.

New In | Tuyo Art

We're delighted to welcome Tuyo Art/David Schmitt to the Gallery for the first time with a selection of his distinctive prints.

Drawing on folk storytelling and street sensibility, David's work has a playful, childlike quality. Rough textures, simple forms and expressive marks come together to explore themes of love, craft and human connection.

Letters Never Sent | 1 October

Join us for an intimate evening of wine, storytelling and conversation, centred around letters that were never intended to be read.

Hosted by The Glenstead, the evening pairs a curated selection of wines with previously unseen letters, with each story unfolding around the table. Seasonal nibbles will be served family style, with plenty of space for conversation along the way.

Raquel Alvarez Sardina is a Spanish-born painter from Barcelona, now based in the Cotswolds, and is one of our Summer Artists.

Raquel creates masterful still-life paintings, exploring the quiet beauty of nature, capturing changing light, and drawing on influences from Baroque tenebrism.
