Come and spend the day creating your own seasonal woven wall hanging at Narberth Museum.

Taking inspiration from the colours and textures each season brings, you will learn or develop the basics of weaving, depending on your experience. This will take place on a simple table-top wooden frame loom, using a bodkin needle to weave with. You may wish to choose one season for your weaving theme or a combination of all four, either reflecting the wintery season we'll be in or evoking warmth and light from the qualities of the other seasons.

We're very excited to be hosting this literary craft session from Kandice at Happy Hands Hideaway this October.

Enhance your writing with this beginner's session on creating a unique handmade journal. Kandice from Happy Hands Hideaway will show you how to personalise your journal with pockets, layers and embellishments to create something individual that you can't buy in the shops.

Messy Museum was back for a second session this week led by our volunteer Jayne. From sharks to starfish, it's amazing what they can make from a toilet roll or old packaging!

Thanks to Jayne for all her hard work in preparing and then running the session. Thanks too for all the crafty kids for coming, creating and making a mess.

It's back to school next week so we'll see you in half term for more crafting, creativity and messiness.

Join us for our Volunteer Coffee Morning on Saturday 12th September to learn more more about the roles on offer at Narberth Museum and Chapter One Bookshop.

We’re looking for volunteers to be baristas, and booksellers or help with our archive digitisation, social media and events.

There will be coffee and cake and chance to talk to our manager, Lorna, and curator, Pauline, about the roles available.

There's just one week left to view UBU TROIS, an exhibition of surrealist art from John Welson, Jean Bonnin and Anne-Paule Mousnier.

Please note that entrance to the exhibition is a standard museum admission. Prices can be found on our website.

We're delighted to announce that we have been awarded full Accreditation. This means that we have reached an official quality standard and demonstrated that Narberth Museum is is well run, protects its collections properly, and provides a good experience for visitors.

We had a fantastic evening on Saturday launching the new exhibition UBU TROIS from John Welson, Jean Bonnin and Anne-Paule Mousnier.

There was so much love and support for their work and we are grateful to them for bringing it to Narberth Museum.

If you missed the opening, there is still plenty of time to see the exhibition as it's open until August 27th.

Please note, aside from the opening, entrance to the exhibition is the price of admission to the museum. Please check our website for details.

Finger puppets, lollipop stick aeroplanes and more at Messy Museum yesterday.

Thanks to Jayne for all her hard work in prepping the activities, getting the materials and leading the session. 💪
