Living in #MIltonKeynes and want some local #dailyexercise to #stayactive ? Explore our Cultural Routes this November to stay fit and healthy.

There is bound to be one near you, so check the map and try some shorter ones to begin with. Remember to follow the new guidelines for households, meeting others and socially distancing. Please click here for the most up to date Guidance from 5 November: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

These routes showcase different areas of Milton Keynes and are perfect for a walk, run or ride. There are FIVE main routes, each around 10 miles long for cycling or with a 5 mile short cut for walkers. The routes encompass points of interest, heritage, public art and cultural venues.

Based around a central Grand Tour (blue route) you can mix and match the trails you want to do near you over the course of November and still stay local to your home.

Once you have picked a route that interests you, download more information about the trail and read about the art and heritage you can see whilst you are out and about.

It's takeover day! Bucks Libraries here, taking over #HistFestBucks all day... Being a history lover and a book lover often goes hand in hand, and we've had fun creating a bit of an online investigation about a historical Buckinghamshire figure, one close to the heart of Bucks libraries: Florence Nightingale. Florence was a frequent visitor at Claydon House, home of her sister, Lady Verney in North Buckinghamshire. She took an interest in nearby Steeple Claydon, to whom she donated the princely sum of £50 to help establish a library there. Her cheque can actually still be viewed at Steeple Claydon Library mounted beautifully in the wall, within a plaque with Florence's words.... https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/news-libraries/florence-and-libraries/
