The Heritage Gallery is housed in the Cargo Fleet Offices on Middlesbrough Road - formerly owned by The building was built for the Cargo Fleet Iron Co Ltd.

The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet was opened on the 8th June 2011, on the ground floor of the spectacular Cargo Fleet Offices on Middlesbrough Road. and became the head quarters for British Steel Teesside, when the iron and steelworks were amalgamated during nationalisation. ide’s industrial heritage. Since opening in June 2011, the Heritage Gallery has showcased a range of exhibitions introducing visitors to an array of artistic mediums including painting, printmaking, photography, textiles and sculpture. With an emphasis on delivering the very best examples of creativity from the region and beyond, the Heritage Gallery aims to engage, inspire and provide a rewarding experience for all who visit. We aim to provide a platform for artists and support emerging talents, enabling them to showcase their work in their local area.
