Hello Dotty friends, I’m very sorry that it has taken me so long to write a Dotty Rambles update …
Many of you will know, that in the past, I’ve only written a Dotty Ramble when I’m in good spirits. As some of you will know, it’s been a very difficult time at this end.
My hubby, Barry, underwent major heart surgery heart surgery and, thanks to the wonderful care by the teams at Glenfield and great support from family & friends all went well. He then needed some dental work and contracted sepsis and passed away in June last year. I’ve tried to keep Dotty going with the help and support of an amazing group of family and friends. But alas, I have had to put our home up for sale, including the gallery (which most of you will know is attached to home). I had an offer within two weeks and as it stands at the moment, I’ll be moving quite soon.
After much thought and angst, I’ve made the hard decision to close Dotty for good on Friday 28th August! Yes, this week!
So with gratitude and a heavy heart that I have to say goodbye for now …having said that, many customers have become friends and will keep in touch and have the occasional glass of wine!
Enough of that, the main reason for this message is to say a HUGE thank you to my lovely customers and artists who have made this possible and have supported me with my silly dream … that actually turned out to be a great idea !
It goes without saying that the wonderful Tina, without whom I’d have given up a long time ago … she has kept me on track, sane and when I’ve lost the plot, she’s put me back on track with her no-nonsense direction – yes she would take charge and tell me what to do ! Just what was needed x
I’m hoping to have a Dotty Pop Up nearer to Christmas, I’ll put it on my website when this is arranged.
