Yesterday, Martin Cobb hosted a wonderful Private View at his Studio!

“The infinity of the parallel line fascinates me and often features in my work via the media of colour and form.

I don’t have much greater purpose here than to please – myself initially in the creative process, then an observer at a gallery event such as this, and later maybe in more permanence in someone’s space and under their curation.

All my work is painted onto reclaimed board, offcuts from building and DIY processes, in line with my various efforts to reduce environmental impact.”

——

CHARITY RAFFLE
There is a raffle of one of Martin’s works to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice.

FOOD BANK DONATIONS
When you visit, there will also be a voluntary collection for the Devizes Food Bank. If you’d like to bring a couple of cans, packets, bars, jars or cartons then please do!

If you don’t have a brochure yet, there’s a digital version on our website to flip through!

And last but not least... Lambourn and Hungerford!

📍 Studio 39, Lambourn
Sophie Lévy Burton
Painting

An outsider artist and former journalist Sophie Lévy Burton picked up a paint brush in her 40s and it changed her life. She paints very large colourful abstract canvases in acrylic and oil and finds the process of abstraction has recovered a part of her she had forgotten since childhood.

Clive Wilson
Painting

Take a trip to Angkhor (Cambodia) and Chiang Mai (Thailand), and lots of other places, through my watercolours. Pure watercolour… to many people, the most beautiful and expressive of painting media, - infinitely subtle, with great luminosity and richness…

Take a look at the webinar on painting in Angkhor on my website!

A cluster of talented artists, unique studios, and plenty of inspiration await in Mildenhall, Ramsbury, Witcha and Aldbourne.

📍 Studio 34, Mildenhall
Belinda Harding
Sculpture, Painting & Glass

“I am showing my glass and metal sculpture in my studio and garden of my home in the Kennet vale.”

📍 Studio 35, Froxfield
Diana Barraclough
Ceramics
“The landscape is so varied in Britain that I never seem to run out of ideas of how to depict it in my ceramics, be it a pot, a tile or a sculptural piece for the garden.”

Normany Barcelo Soto
Painting
“My new work will be a combination of culture experiences, having lived in Mexico and America. With my specialist paint that is mixed with Iron and Copper filing, I’m still achieving colours of Rust, Patina and Verdigris.”

Abigail Holgate
Millinery
Combining all things that delight and motivate her, millinery is a must for Abby. Fashion, colour, identity, texture, individualism, there is nothing beyond the power of a really fantastic hat.

📍 Studio 36, Ramsbury
Ann Richmond
Painting

“Over time, a studio practice has to breathe deeply if it’s to continue. The Otherwurlde Collection remains the emotional heart of our work and isn’t going anywhere. You’ll still see it here.”

📍 Studio 37, Witcha
Susan Kirkman
Painting
Susan produces work in a wide variety of styles, media and subject matter. She and Arran will be showing work in three areas and in browsers. Visitors are welcome by appointment throughout the year.

Arran Miles
Painting, Drawing & Printmaking
Arran continues to work with different media, often combining them in a piece of work. She is inspired by the landscape, where she sketches, paints and photographs, working from these, back in her studio. Drawing the Life Figure is also an important part of her practice.

📍 Studio 38, Aldbourne
Belinda Rayner
Painting & Drawing

A recurring inspiration is the beauty of nature with a love of colour, light, space and pattern. I paint predominantly in oils, interweaving threads of colour to connect contemplated objects.

“The tactile use of clay is a deep sensory experience, where my hands mould and shape the earth into beautiful forms. Each touch transforms the malleable material, allowing for personal expression and creativity.”
