A momentous day at the RAF Marham Aviation Heritage Centre. Working in collaboration with the City of Norwich Aviation Museum, CNAM, two privately owned cockpit sections the Handley Page Victor K2, XL160 and the Vickers Valiant XD857 were moved to the City of Norwich Aviation Museum for restoration and eventual display, both of these aircraft served at RAF Marham in their history and it is a fitting tribute that they will join the Avro Vulcan currently on display at CNAM.

The RAF Marham Aviation Heritage Centre had both privately owned cockpits in long term store awaiting restoration and now the City of Norwich Aviation Museum is proud to take on the long term challenge of restoring them both to display standard.

For CNAM this is a fantastic opportunity to complete their V-Force collection as the cockpits will be displayed alongside the mighty Vulcan.

A representative of the RAF Marham Aviation Heritage Centre stated ' For these two cockpit sections to stay in Norfolk is excellent news and the fact that CNAM has taken on the restoration is testament to the professionalism of their team, we wish them the best of luck with the project and look forward to future collaborations with them'.

The RAF Marham Aviation Heritage Centre is proud to announce that we have been gifted a very special item to raffle, which you are able to win.

We are conducting a raffle at the moment which will be drawn in September (date to be confirmed). As you can see in the picture the item is an F35b Print signed by Station Officers and beautifully framed, also in the frame is the RAF Marham 110th patch and the RAF Marham F35b patch, between them is the limited edition golden coloured RAF Marham 110th anniversary coin serial number 110 - there is an identical framed set with coin number 001 also in the raffle, so you have an equal chance of winning either number 001 or 110, both of these coins have been flown in an F35b.

You can only enter the raffle by visiting the Aviation Heritage Centre during opening hours - Tuesday or Wednesday 0900 - 1600.
You can purchase as many tickets as you like, which by the way are £1.00 each. (sorry no online ticket purchases).

So come and visit us and buy some tickets, by the way, every penny from the raffle (after costs) will go directly back into the Heritage Centre Charity fund which in turn helps us to improve the displays and visitor experience.

We will be selling tickets for this amazing prize at our Aviation, Art and Modelling fair on Saturday the 22nd August which is being held in the Sandringham Centre adjacent to the Heritage Centre (please see the poster for this event in our featured article area).
