Mac from our maintenance team has made it into the pages of Classic Land Rover magazine.

Writer Lucy Rabone tells the story of his ex-WOMBAT Series III 109in, a Cold War Army Land Rover that is now part of the museum. The November issue also covers his years in the Royal Artillery, including the hill starts his squad had to master, with the whole squad’s cigarette allowance riding on getting it right.

You can see it for yourself at Eden Camp until the season ends on 13 November, and it’s included in your museum admission.

Thank you, Lucy, for telling it so well. And well done, Mac, for sharing the vehicle and its history with our visitors.

Did you ever drive, ride in or own a Series Land Rover? We would love to hear your stories in the comments.
