Well, the end is in view! I can scarcely believe what a huge amount of work has been done, and so much achieved by our contractors, the doughty and skillful Dyers team. The important finishing touches are starting, mainly on the new gallery. I will let you know when we take possession. (That's when OUR hard work begins!!)

It is with regret that the trustees have come to the conclusion that it would be unwise to open the museum this year, in view of the disruption caused by the continuing building works.
On the other hand, this gives us ample time to appraise, conserve and display our exhibits to the very best advantage.
We welcome the invaluable help given by our invaluable team of volunteers and would be very pleased to hear of any others who would like to join in.

A supporter has won £250 on the North Devon Community lottery, and donated it straight back to us! Why don't you have a go? Just £5 a month, half goes for prize money, and half to support the museum.

I'm fed up with "Admin assist" It rattles along it's merry way, with no regard to the real admins. It approves weird folk from the other side of the world, and turns down local people I've know for years! What can we do about it?

Some good news, and some bad. The good news is that at long last the hidden, ancient watermain discovered under the building has now been rerouted ( and many thanks to Maria and Clive next door who facilitated the new connection.) Bad news is that it has cost the museum £40,000, and put our plans back by 3 months. Despite this we hope to be open by May next year. Now we must do serious fund raising to cover the shortfall and to refurbish the museum, as our grant from the Arts Council was for the building only.
