It happened! Officially the reigns have been handed over to Ben and Lauren and I think Love Art is in safe hands. Of course they will make it their own but all the artists that stock in Love Art still have a home. 👏👏❤️
I will tag their new account as soon as they have shared it with me. But you can go and say 👋 in the shop from NOW! 🥳
Thank you to the wonderful locals that came in over Friday and Saturday to find out what was happening. Genuinely the thing I will miss the most is the “chats” with people. I am a massive over sharer as regulars will have come to realise and Saturday ended with a wonderful customer and literal life coach. You couldn’t make it up. I did then spend 30 mins searching for my car keys for the second time this week. (the first time never to be found)

So, 20 year old Tweq messaged me in a panic to say the landlord of the piece of land his tent is sat on is chasing him for rent. His father is too ill to do anything and he is the older of his siblings. I believe there are 20 of them all together. He has been hiding, too frightened to go back to his tent because the landlord scares him and he doesn’t know what to do.
To make matters worse it rained heavily again last night coming into the tent and ruining the little food they had left.
He told me he thought £50 would cover the rent, so I sent him that money as USTD so he can change it into shekels.
Unfortunately it turns out the maths wasn’t right and £50
ended up as 1700 shekels not the 4000 he needed.
Anyway long story short he gave the landlord what he received which has bought him some more time. I am hoping some lovely people out there can help share the load of trying to help Twfeq. I don’t understand why the world has just left all these people trapped amongst the destruction of their homes with no employment, no materials to rebuild their lives and next to no food. It’s just disgusting. There is so much food and aid waiting at the boarders but once again they have been shut because of the new bombing of Iran.
If anyone can comment or share to help me get Twea some help. It would be appreciated.
There have been a group of you quietly helping me and I don’t want you to feel responsible.
(But sharing would still be wonderful ❤️‍🩹🫶🫶)

What to expect?! 🫣 well I’m sticking to the classics.

Flapjack
Lemon drizzle

And we may have guest appearances by some other lovely (and hygiene certified) bakers.
It’s a one time only type of thing hoping to raise some spondoolies for the families I try and support in G*za.
